Henry Hanson

Henry Hanson is currently a research student and PhD candidate with the Sports Technology Institute at Loughborough University. He completed degrees in German and mechanical engineering at the University of Portland in Oregon including an academic year in Salzburg. After graduation and a summer working as a manufacturing engineer at an aerospace composites firm, Henry went to Germany for a year with the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals. While in Deutschland, he got his first exposure to sports engineering with the adidas Innovation Team in their post-graduate program. Henry runs and bikes recreationally and enjoys a good game of six-a-side football with the people in the lab.
Dr. Mike Vasquez
co-founder
Mike is originally from South St. Paul, Minnesota. He has recently been awarded a PhD from Loughborough University in England following research in the Mechanical Engineering Department on a project with Burton Snowboards. After growing up in Minnesota, Mike made his way out to Boston to attend MIT. While there, he was able to combine his passion for sports and engineering by working with the MIT Sports Innovation Center. He earned a BS (‘08) and M.Eng (‘09) in Materials Science and Engineering. Mike was a captain of the MIT baseball team and continues to stay active by playing baseball, snowboarding, and distance running. He recently finished his fifth marathon.
